Design & engineering

In the offshore and marine sector, GVA supports its customers with a total turnkey design and engineering service for new vessels. We cover everything from the conceptual phase through model tests, basic designs, class approval, development of specifications and inquiry packages, fabrication support, test and commisioning procedures and vessel handover routines

We also undertake elements of projects on a task-by-task basis, combining our service with those of the client or other parties involved.

GVA multi-discipline engineering and design team uses the latest computer aided software, including CAD/PDMS systems. With over 100 certified design engineers and our network of integrated sub-contractors, GVA can assembleat short notice  a team to undertake even the largest marine design and engineering tasks.

Whilst our core activities are focused on semi-submersibles, FPSO’s and other floating offshore installations, we have the skills, expertise and tools available to undertake other complex structural, hydro dynamic, pipe and mechanical as well as drilling engineering tasks.
